Marc L. Saidel - Principal Member


Marc L. Saidel has a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and his Juris Doctor from St. John's University.  He was admitted to practice in New York and in the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Disctricts in 1972.  After working for litigation firms in New York City, he opened a general practice in Yorktown in 1975. From 1978 to 1985 he continued a general practice in partnership with another attorney, returning to solo practice in June 1985.  On January 1, 1992, he became a partner in SAIDEL & SAIDEL. On February 1, 2005, Mr. Saidel became one of the three principal members of SAIDEL AND SAIDEL, P.C. He is a member of the Yorktown, Westchester County and New York State Bar Associations.  Since 1980, he has taught NY State real estate licensing courses to prospective sales persons and brokers through the Board of Cooperative Educational Services of Northern Westchester and Putnam counties.  He has served as an arbitrator in the Ninth Judicial District and for the American Arbitration Association.  He has completed the training program for mediation of attorney‑client disputes offered by the Unified Court System of New York.  He is also a licensed insurance broker and a licensed real estate broker.

    

Mr. Saidel's practice includes: real estate transactions involving single and multi‑family residences, cooperatives, condominiums, and commercial properties; planning, zoning, and development matters; mortgage closings; foreclosures and related financing matters; corporate matters and business transactions; representing and advising condominium boards, cooperatives and homeowners' associations; civil litigation; and other areas customary to a general practice of law.


 

Sheryl M. Saidel - Principal Member


Sheryl M. Saidel has a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and a Masters Degree in Education. She graduated Cum Laude from Pace University School of Law with a Juris Doctor degree in June 1991 and has been admitted to practice in both New York and Connecticut.  In 1985 she became legal assistant and office administrator in Mr. Saidel's solo practice.  In 1991, she became a full time attorney upon her admission to the bar, and became a partner in SAIDEL & SAIDEL on January 1, 1992.  On February 1, 2005, Mrs. Saidel became one of the three principal members of SAIDEL AND SAIDEL, P.C. She is a member of the New York and Connecticut State Bar Associations, the Westchester County Bar Association, the Westchester Women's Bar Association and the Yorktown Bar Association.  She is also a licensed insurance broker and a member of the Business Development Board of Hudson Valley Bank.


Mrs. Saidel’s practice includes: real estate transactions involving single and multi‑family residences, vacant land, cooperatives and condominiums; mortgage closings; advising condominium boards, cooperatives and homeowners' associations; drafting and filing of Amendments to Condominium Offering Plans and Declarations; estate planning including the preparation of wills, trusts and other estate planning documents; probate and settlement of estates, including probate related litigation; elder law and other areas of general practice.


 

Eric H. Holtzman - Of Counsel


Eric H. Holtzman, earned a degree in Philosophy from the University of Rochester and received his law degree from the University of Minnesota. He has served as a New York State Deputy Assistant Attorney General; as an Associate Regional Counsel for the Federal Energy Administration; and as a prosecuting attorney for an incorporated village.  In addition to courts in New York State, he has appeared in State trial courts, Federal district courts, and Appellate Courts throughout the country. He has coordinated the nationwide defense of product liability claims for an international client. Long active in New York State Bar Association activities, Mr. Holtzman has also taught at the American Bar Association Litigation Section and NYS Bar Association programs.  In addition, he has served on the Grievance Committee of the Suffolk County Bar Association.  He also actively practices as a mediator and arbitrator.


Mr. Holtzman concentrates his practice on civil litigation (including trials and appeals) as well as real estate matters, general business practice and alternative dispute resolution.
